How to create a user and user group policy in Sitecore Content Hub?

  

1         Steps To create user group policy

User group policy consists of rules, conditions, and permissions. 

To configure a user group policy:    

·       Configure rules on entities

·       Configure rules on portal pages

·       Configure privileges

·       Configure member security

Follow the steps to configure the group policy.

2        Create a user

                i.         On the menu bar, click Manage

               ii.         On the Manage page, click Users.

              iii.         On the Users page, click Add user.



                i.         On the blank user detail page, in the Username field, enter a username: a username is a string value that can contain spaces, special characters, and alphanumeric characters.

               ii.         Assign the required Sitecore Content Hub™ modules to the user as described in Assign modules to users.

3 Configure a user group policy

                i.         On the menu bar, click Manage

               ii.         On the Manage page, click Users. On the Users tab, in the row for the user you want to edit, click View details.

              iii.         On the User page, click User Group Tab

             iv.         Click on Add to a user group.

 Below screen for the reference configured for sit_service_account user


               

v.     Search and select the required User group(s) to configure.

Vi.         After adding user group click on Add Item, refer the below screen.




Vii.     Select the respective policy as per the configured user group.
